Interim Ban on Sale of Unsafe Hoverboards in Australia - A Blessing in Disguise!

So the Hoverboards that do not meet specific safety standards have been temporarily banned from selling in Australia for 60 days, starting March 18, 2016. The ACCC (Australian Competition and Consumer Commission) imposed the ban stating that some pose an “imminent risk of death” for riders. The ban on sale of unsafe Hoverboards has entered into second month as the Hon Minister for Small Business and Assistant Treasurer, Kelly O'Dwyer reviewed the situation after 30 days of imposing the ban and decided for the ban to stay till May 17, 2016.
